acupuncture for pregnancy & postpartum

Hello there.

I know it can be challenging to find health and wellness after a period of illness - I have been there too. After recovering from what my doctor labelled as IBS I was inspired to share the tools I had acquired with others so they could also return to daily optimal living after a period of long-term illness. I often combine Western and Eastern thinking in my treatment and recovery advice; rituals of regular nourishing meals, supplements, and also time to connect with self-care and nature to prioritise personal health over societal pressures as well as regular acupuncture treatments.

Over the last decade I have discovered, explored and cultivated my knowledge of the body, the gut microbiome whilst also studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture for 3 years full-time with The City College of Acupuncture (CCA) in London. I received a 2:1 Hons Degree Level Licentiate Diploma accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).

A little about me; I live in Loughton, Essex and travel around North Essex working as an acupuncturist. I work as well from the practice I founded in 2020 called acu.e8 which is located in Dalston, London. During the cover-19 pandemic I witnessed the struggle that holistic therapy practitioners had to work and earn a living due to the government restrictions on 1:1 therapies so I decided to share my practice with other therapists so they might find an affordable, safe and happy place to work.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and because of at the journey I have been on, my special interests include women's health, chronic conditions, gut health disorders and dysbiosis, mental health; especially the effects stress and anxiety have on the body and mind.

I have been having acupuncture with Jo for a few months now and I have loved every single session. Jo has made me feel welcome and supported from my very first session. I look forward to every single session and I am now a self-confessed acupuncture convert!!

It has helped me find a level of calm within myself that I didn't even realise was possible.

If you've been thinking about having acupuncture I would 100% recommend Integrative Acupuncture. Jo is the best!!
